How the Weighted Average Formula Works
The Formula
Average = (5xn₅ + 4xn₄ + 3xn₃ + 2xn₂ + 1xn₁) / Total
Where n₅ is the number of 5-star reviews, n₄ is 4-star, and so on. This gives each star level its proper weight in the final average.
